Pay-per-Click (PPC)

Pay-per-Click (PPC) is an advertising model in which you pay only for a click, not for the display itself. It is the standard for search advertising, for example Google Ads, in which the budget goes only on people who actually clicked. You pay for traffic but not for its quality, which is why the choice of phrases and the landing page matter, so that clicks turn into conversions. (Compare: CPC, Search Engine Marketing (SEM))
