Cost per Acquisition (CPA)

Cost per Acquisition (CPA) is the cost of gaining one conversion, for example a sale or a registration. It shows what you actually pay for a single result, which makes it well suited to judging a campaign’s profitability and comparing channels. It only makes sense read alongside the value of that conversion: a low CPA means nothing if the customers acquired are of low value. (Compare: CPL, CAC, ROAS)
