The situation in the football match broadcast market
Users had no legal and effective way to watch football matches whenever they wanted. The only options were paying for sports channels or using pirated websites. The challenge was to reach football fans and convince them that Player offers an attractive broadcast of the games, here and now!


Our mission: what we aimed to achieve
The goal was to increase the sales of sports SVOD packages on Player.pl by reaching users in real-time—those looking for broadcasts just before or even during a match. We focused primarily on the Spanish and Italian leagues.


Strategy in practice: steps we took
We used communication focused on promoting the match broadcasts where sports fans are. We partnered with major websites and social media channels catering to fans of FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Juventus Turin.
The communication was focused on promoting football match broadcasts, with ads placed in the appropriate context—for the specific match and league.
On social media, we gave publishers freedom to present the Player product in a way that was consistent with their content, which allowed us to achieve a high level of relevance for the users.
Promotion through trusted channels made Player a reliable place to watch broadcasts, with users recommending it to each other. In this way, we became a complementary part of football websites, offering a legal alternative to pirated broadcasts.

We achieved a sales volume of several tens of thousands of transactions directly (postclick) and through attribution (postview). The conversion rate was 5% higher than in similar product bundles. The ROI for this specific campaign remained at 10% for postclick and 50% for postclick & postview.
